Dr. Mary C. DeMello, D.M.D.
Dr. Mary C. DeMello graduated with a B.S. in Biology from St. Anselm College and is a 1986 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She completed a general practice residency program at Tufts New England Medical Center in 1987 and remained on staff with the program until 1983.
Dr. DeMello has been involved in organized dentistry at both the state and local levels since entering the profession. She is a member of the American Dental Association and has chaired the Committee on Dental Practice in Massachusetts for 15 years. Currently, she is chair of the Massachusetts Committee on Legislation and Government Affairs. For her regional dental meeting, the Yankee Dental Congress, Dr. DeMello has participated, at various times, on the scientific, exhibits, general arrangements and hospitality committees for over 25 years. In recognition of her efforts, she was awarded the Armen Nalband Award for Volunteerism in 2012, by the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Robert L. Burke Award in 2016, by the Metropolitan District Dental Society. To continue to expand her dental knowledge and skills, Dr. DeMello is a member of the Central New England Dental Research Group and Spear Study Club.
Dr. DeMello is an active alum at St. Anselm Collge and TUSDM and is presently the Dental Fund Co-Chair for the Campaign Committee at Tufts.
Dr. DeMello lives in Medfield and has two children, Nikki and Zac, and one loveable golden retriever, Sebastian. In her free time, she enjoys running, biking (just about any outdoor activity), going to the theatre and travel.
Dr. Dayana Escobar
Dr. Escobar received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1999 and New York University College of Dentistry in 2012 and she completed her AGE Prosthodontic & Masters in Medical Sciences in 2015 at Harvard Dental School of Medicine.
Dr. Escobar was awarded with the Honor Clinical-Aesthetic Dentisty at New York University College of Dentistry, New York and Nila and Joshi Award for Fixed Prosthodontics Outstanding Achievement, New York Academy of Oral Rehabilitation in May 2012. She was one of the first students involved on the first surgical implant course in her prosthodontist residency at Harvard under Dr. Schnitman mentoship in 2012-2015.
Dr. Escobar mainly focuses on restorative dentistry, crowns, bridges, dentures, full mouth rehabilitations, dental implants, esthetic and digital dentistry.
Currently Dr. Escobar is lecturing on Department-Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterial Sciences of Implants at Harvard Dental School of Medicine.
She lives in Westwood and has one child, Pablo. When she is not practicing Dr. Escobar enjoys time with her son and her husband, church activities and traveling.
Dr. Sarah Shih, DDS, DM Sc
Dr. Shih received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 1987. She earned her Certificate in Periodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Medical Sciences Degree in Oral Biology in 1997.
Dr. Shih has clinical experience in a wide range of services including non-surgical therapy, implant placement, crown lengthening, connective tissue grafts, ridge augmentation and biopsy procedures.
In 2015, Dr. Shih received the American Academy of Periodontology Educator award at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She joined the staff at Dr. DeMello's office in 2015.
Miche Similien, CDA
Miche has been working with Dr. DeMello for the past 15 years. She graduated from Quincy College with a degree in Dental Assisting in 2000. Prior to that Miche was working in the medical field as a CNA. She is married with three children and lives in Stoughton. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies and attending plays.
Breana Goulette, RDA
Breana graduated from Tri County RVTHS in 2016 where she attended their dental assistant program. She is a licensed dental assistant and joined Dr. DeMello's practice in September of 2018. Breana is working towards becoming a certified dental assistant.
She loves spending time with her family, enjoys drawing and watching Patriot's and Red Sox games with her boyfriend David.
Devi Mayer, CDA
Devi is from the country of Nepal, home of Katmandu and 8 of the 10 worlds highest mountains (including Mt. Everest). She came to America with her husband in 1995 and was soon an American citizen.
Devi graduated from the Massasoit Community College Dental Assistant program in 1999. She is DANB (the Dental Assisting National Board) certified for chair side assistant and radiology. She also holds a license as a Registered Nurse. She has worked with Dr. DeMello in varying capacities since her graduation from Massasoit, and began to assist Dr. Sarah Shih as well in January 2015. She loves to visit different places with her husband Will, daughter Emma and son James. Her hobbies are gardening, hiking, cooking, dancing and going to the gym.
Terri Mee, RDH
Terri began her career in dentistry 40 years ago as a certified dental assistant with a degree from Mt. Ida College. Shortly after she graduated from Middlesex Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been with our practice for over 12 years providing quality dental care and education for a healthy mouth.
When not working, Terri enjoys playing softball on a summer league, cooking and entertaining family and friends. She has been married for 33 years to Jack and they have raised 4 boys in Medway. They were just blessed with their first granddaughter, Malina!
She is an active member of the Medway Lions and you can find Terri volunteering around town for several organizations such as Medway family day and Relay for Life
Pam Marshall, RDH
Pam has been delivering dental hygiene care to patients for 26 years. She graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She has had the opportunity to practice in Texas, Arizona, Alaska and now Massachusetts. She loves working with people and helping them maintain great dental health.
Pam has a small collection of Italian Greyhounds that she loves to brag about. Jelly, Maxine, Zina and Evie have all stolen her heart and are living the good life. She loves being creative and recently bought and renovated her first Massachusetts home in North Attleboro. She loves decorating, crafting and gardening. Making things beautiful is what she enjoys the most! Pam also loves taking day trips and enjoying the beauty that New England offers. After having been a resident of Massachusetts for 11 years she still finds so many new and fun adventures to experience.
Kathy Dengos, RDH
Kathy works as an Assistant Administrator at our front desk. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist and worked on our hygiene staff for 3+ years in the 1990's. Kathy completed her B.A. at UMASS Amherst and worked as an Early Childhood Educator for several years before returning to our team in 2014.
She and her husband Andy have 3 daughters and reside in Franklin.
Elaine is a newer face among the staff at Dr. DeMello's office. She joined our team in July 2018. She enjoys working at the front desk and brings 9 years prior experience in patient care coordination to our practice. She graduated from Bentley College with a BS in Marketing (long before it became a university!)
Originally from North Carolina, she moved to MA in 1983 and later graduated from Westwood HS where she met her husband Rob. They have been married for 27 years and have lived in Medfield for 20 years where they have raised four children. She enjoys reading, cooking, fitness and spending time with her family.
Annie is the Office Manager and one of the people who will greet you at the front desk. She began working for Dr. DeMello in 2013. Annie received her B.S. from the University of Maine, Orono, and continues to be a Black Bears fan.
She and her husband David and son Harrison have been residents of Medfield for 20 years.
